Background: Dr. Idi Alhaji Sadiq is a renowned Nigerian academic and Agricultural Economist born on March 7, 1966, in Maiduguri, Borno State. He obtained his first degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Maiduguri in 1992, followed by a Master's degree in Economics in 2007. He furthered his education to earn a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2018.
Career:Dr. Sadiq's career spans over two decades, starting as a Lecturer III in 1995 at Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri. He later joined the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security as Registrar of Cooperatives I and was deployed to the Federal Cooperative College Kaduna. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Provost and Head of the Department of Cooperative Economics and Management.
