Federal Cooperative College Kaduna Alumni National Body Pays Courtesy Visit to the Provost

On Monday, August 18, 2025, the National Body of the Federal Cooperative College Kaduna Alumni Association, ably led by its National President, Mr. Daniel Bodam, paid a courtesy visit to the Provost of the College, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awwal, at the College premises.
The Provost warmly received the alumni delegation in the company of his management team, which included:
Dr. Sadiq Idi Alhaji, Deputy Provost and Head, Department of Cooperative Economics and Management;
Mr. Mohammed Tukur, Registrar of the College;
Mr. Adama Dennis Suleiman, Head of General Studies;
Mr. S.K. Mohammed, Head of Computer Science;
Hajiya Amina Dahiru Murtala, Head of Department, Entrepreneurship Studies;
Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Bursar;
Mr. Hassan Usman Nguli, Head of Home and Rural Economics; and
Alhaji Bashir Mamman Mohammed, Head of Academic Planning Unit.
In his remarks, Dr. Awwal emphasized the importance of synergy between the College and its alumni, noting that strong alumni engagement is vital to the institution’s growth and reputation. He further encouraged the alumni body to align its activities with the College’s Five-Year Strategic Plan, which he described as a roadmap to reposition Federal Cooperative College Kaduna for greater excellence.
Responding, Mr. Bodam expressed appreciation on behalf of the alumni team for the warm reception accorded to them. He lauded the Provost’s open-door policy, describing it as a progressive approach that would foster inclusiveness and cooperation between the management and graduates of the institution. He assured the Provost of the association’s commitment to supporting initiatives that will promote the image of the College and contribute to its overall development.
The meeting, which lasted for some time, was interactive and constructive. During the session, Registrar, Mr. Mohammed Tukur, reaffirmed the College’s readiness to collaborate with the alumni association in pursuing common goals aimed at institutional advancement.
Other members of the Alumni delegation present at the meeting included Malam Suleiman Kauru and Malam Yakubu Babachuwake, both of whom expressed optimism about the renewed partnership between the association and the College.
The visit ended on a note of mutual understanding, with both parties pledging to work together in ensuring the continued growth and recognition of the Federal Cooperative College Kaduna as a center of excellence in cooperative education and training.
